Lisa Brescia sings Scott Alan's MAGIC - Live @ Birdland

BACKSTORY: I LOVE LISA BRESCIA. I wanted her for the 'Dreaming Wide Awake' CD. I have been working with Lisa for three years since she stepped in for Julia Murney last minute for a reading of 'Piece.' I instantly became a fan. Sadly, Lisa had a busy schedule during our recording and wasn't able to join us.

THANKFULLY, though, she was kind enough to join us at the Birdland Concert. Eden Espinosa was suppose to join us at the Monday night concert, and in addition to singing 'I'm a Star' was going to fill in for Adriane Lenox and sing 'Magic.'

Monday morning rolled around and Eden was sick. It was 7am in the morning when I received Eden's text letting me know she had no voice. I called, emailed and texted Lisa. Three hours later and she called me back, and what does the SWEETEST woman in the world say on my machine ? 'I feel horrible that it has taken me so long to get back to you. I didn't have my phone near me. Anything you need, Scott, just let me know. I am free tonight and I feel comfortable singing the song.'

After hearing Lisa sing this song again after so long apart from it, I was reminded why this song was so essential to 'Piece.' I think it just might be finding it's place back in.
