@swburton316 i havent had the curado long its braking system is set with 3 tabs activated and the spool tension isnt tightened much at all. your right though with it bein all about personal preference though. ive always been a big revo fan and just loved the reels Abu produces. I like my curado especially for $130 and it feels great and casts good but if i payed full price for the curado i would just get another revo. But hey, thats just me and my preference and everyone likes different things

@co1binat3r have you messed with the braking system on the curado? i can launch em past my revo sx, same rod, same line, same lure. all about preference in the end though. once you get into the higher-end reels, you really can't go wrong. a lot of it is just how well the reel fits in your hand and how comfortable it is to use for long periods of time. i think if you mess around with the curado a little more you'll grow to like it better than the sx...

@co1binat3r that mustve been a defective curado...

@swburton316 i recently purchased a curado. the revo sx and the curado are just as smooth but my revo sx casts a little further. but right now a curado 200e for 130 bucks is a steal. anyways i have casted zillions and they are nice but i cant pay 270 for a reel. and as of the johnny morris i think they are junk personally but some people like them

@co1binat3r own two zillions, four curados, and one revo sx among others. won't buy another revo sx. may think about the stx but would rather just get another curado, save money and get a virtually equivalent reel. in the store the sx absolutely doesn't beat a zillion or a curado - i can't speak for the johnny morris cause i don't own one, but a lot of guys on my team have burned out the gears on them. curado's the best reel for the price. if you can afford a zillion even better.

@CRFmxracer zillion trumps all. i love both of mine. i have one revo sx and won't buy another one. i have 4 curados and they've never let me down - great for fishing in heavy cover (shimano gears/breaking system is tough as hell), but the zillion's smoother hands down. if i had more money i'd own more zillions, but unfortunately that's not the case. in my opinion, curado is the best reel for the money. zillions are better reels, but you pay for it.

@CRFmxracer nuff said thats our opinions
tight lines
haha ok... my dad owned a johhny morris and it wasnt nearly smooth as a revo and he took it back. ive casted BOTH u cant just compare the two in stores and even if u did the revo sx would win. it does in my store. i doubt you have ever casted a revo sx so u cant compare. i can tell cause u said a johnny morris was smoother when we have owned a johnny morris and it was rough on the retreive.

@co1binat3r actually i have casted both my friend jackie has one and he hates it rarely uses it. he has an stx which he likes, but the sx is no where near what the stx is. my jm is nearly as smooth as a non fugged up curado. you mustve gotten a bad one like i got a bad curado. but whatever you have your opinions i have mine,
