Hey from Greece. This is a typical Malmsteen Echo Etude violin style technique (Volume swell Technique). The guitar is an Irater Stagecaster with custom scalloped neck and the Delay pedal is a digital one by Boss.A delay with approximately 700 msec is used with only one repeat. The picking must be stiff (yoy may hear the picking between notes)and accurate and the volume knob is rotated with the little finger in order to have a violin style effect produced. Hope it helped.

  • you should put on a clean distortion and use a delay and swell the volume, yngwie talks all about this somewhere.

  • Thanx for comment. In the above example I used delay as I explained in the vid's description.I swell the volume with my little finger also but my other fingers cover it so it is not easily noticeable. Distortion with volume swell doesn't mix well in some cases. In my second Vid (Guitar Violin with Delay (part2) the technique is more clear and fully inspired from yngwie's examples.

  • Thanx for comment.I wrote a few info about sculloped necks in the description of another uploaded video of mine called "Sculloped flirting". . Check them out. Personally I feel that they look and perform better than a simple non sculloped neck. It is a little hard at the beginning but later it pays off really. Try one out and feel the difference yourself. It worths the "pain".

  • you should wipe that shit off your fretboard asap. LoL

  • LoL.. You re right pal but I love it. It is a chinese dragon I painted 10 years ago. I made it while drunk, a few hours before being obliged to enter the Army for the relevant service lol and I simply left it there on the fretboard.

  • Thanks. Check out also AJfenderbender and his instructions and all the other pals that demonstrate such techniques. I will try to include some more in the future.
