The circuit for the UCI World Championsship Road Race in Denmark 2011 will take place in the municipality of Rudersdal, with start and finish line on Geels Hill. The 14 km circuit passes Geels Hill, the Hill at Søllerød Castle plus on more climb. "We have created an interesting and demanding circuit going up Geels Hill. With no less than 20 laps of 14 km, we are convinced that it will be a very tuff and varied World Championship in Denmark 2011, says DCU director Jesper Worre. The Circuit for the Elite is 20 laps of 14 km, 280 km in all. Start and finish is at Geels Hill on Kongevejen just outside Copenhagen. The Circuit for the Time Trial has the start and finish line at City Hall in the heart of Copenhagen. The Circuit takes the riders down HC Andersens Boulevard, going right by Peblinge Sø. The riders will complete the lake shore before taking a left towards Nørrebro, Bispebjerg, Vangede before heading back to Copenhagen while passing through Gentofte, Hellerup and Østerbro. Before entering City Centre, the riders will pass by the new Opera House at the docks.
