Bix Beiderbecke and his Gang with Bix (cornet), Bill Rank (trombone), Don Murray (clarinet), Adrian Rollini (bassax), Frank Sgnorelli (piano) and Chauncey Morehouse (drums) play the ODJB's "Royal Garden Blues", superbly recorded in New York on 5 October 1927 by Okeh and issued in the so-called "race" 8000 series.

  • Hi Harry - great to hear Bix on an original 78! Could you also tell me something about the amazing 'Gramaphone' it's being played on? Very Cool!!!

  • Bix comes to the FORE, right from the opening chorus ... as he usually did, in many recordings. Don Murray has undistinguished solo, as does Rollini; I like Bill Rank's solo, though! Bix shines-through, right before the ending. Thanks, harry, for the upload!
