Video Categories:
These are the three sections we'll be looking at when it comes to giving away free lessons:
1. non-Japanese related: "Why I want to learn ______." Take a look at edufire.com to see what categories we offer.

2. One-shot "Why I want to learn Japanese" - this should be a video that is not edited, and be one shot from start to finish.

3. Most creative "Why I want to learn Japanese video." This can be one-shot or edited however you please. We just want something that's creative!

RULES:
Here are the rules of the contest:
1. Video must be in by October 14, 2008
2. Your video has to be a "video response" to this video. Just click "post a video response" below where the video is playing (if you are on Youtube).
3. Title must be "Edufire: Why I want to learn _______"
4. You have to create an eduFire account over at http://www.edufire.com. Post a link to your eduFire profile page in your video description, so we can contact you and give you your prize more easily.
5. Please include an "eduFire" tag in the tags section. It will help our egos out a lot! Thanks!

Please let me know if you have any more questions. You can email questions about the contest to koichi@edufire.com

Thanks much, and I look forward to seeing your videos!

  • well, only on my videos :) The way I speak is very branding related, and not very much how I speak Japanese when used in casual situations. I like to think I'm more formal than a textbook, too :P

  • also, even if most are not 'fluent speakers,' I have a list of about 20 people I can refer anyone to who ARE native Japanese speakers on eduFire, which shouldn't take away from a lot of the other teachers, who are very good at what they do. This is why there is a rating system on the site, as well as information about people.

  • I might do it but I don't see why I wold I mean i'm allredy taking japanese lesons and iven if I win how am I going to get a 1 on 1 leson if I live all the way in canada?

  • you really have a deep voice maybe you should change your anticonception pill

  • could we make an exchange? one lesson german in exchange for one lesson in japanese?

  • @edufirejapanese Wah, I discovered this video way too late.

  • Koichi seems like a busy guy no a days

  • Nope, They're narrowing it down.

There were some really awesome entries I just wish GCSEs and coursework weren't so time-consuming =P

    Luck|

  • Soo......

    Has any1 won yet?

I went away on hols so sorry if i missed it :S

  • Koichi I now have unlimited respect for you and all other people who can sit and talk to their webcam and not sound like an idiot. XD geez that was harder than I thought it would be.

  • Hey dude this is hilarious "Koichi". Everyone who posted is saying "I plan to go to Japan someday" or "I will be moving to Japan when I get older" with no specifications. It's a load of bullshit. Bunch of people want to learn this not because they want to know the language nor because they actually like the culture. AT least that's how it is at my school. T_T

  • Huh. I waant to entter?? ...hmm, I'll think about it d:

  • I'd enter, but I don't win contests, and I'd be a little emoer when I lost. D=

    Good luck to everyone entering!
