Low Light test for Hero HD vs Hero standard

[Once it's completely loaded you can use the slider to quickly jump back and forth to compare. IGNORE THE EXPOSURE JUMPS. I cut out a few sections here and there to speed it up.

I simply let both cameras run one morning and took meter readings occasionally. As you can see, the HD Hero is vastly improved in low-light capabilities. And much less contrasty.

You'll see the exposure information appear briefly at the top as time progresses. This video is accelerated about 400%.

Trust me. Get the HD! I have both and the standard doesn't even come close. It honestly sucks. I love the HD though! I got the motorsports for the suction cup to mount to my car.
