Sumi Jo sings 'Ah! Vous Dirai-Je, Maman' by Adam.

What a voice & charming interpretation !

Piano - Vincenzo Scalera

Theatre Musical de Paris, Chatelet
April, 2006.

This performance is one of Sumi Jo's DVD
titled "Sumi Jo in Paris - For my Father"
for 20th anniversary of her internatinal debut.

This performance was dedicated to her father.
When she was singing here in Paris, the funeral
of her father was going in Korea.

So, she dedicated this recital to his father,
especially the last song, Ave Maria of Schubert.

  • She is NOT copying Miliza Korjus - not sure how you came up with that... Sumi Jo's performance follows the original score more accurately than Korjus - not that one has to do so - strictly up to the performer. Perhaps you should study the score more before making such a silly pronouncement... :o)

  • It must've been hard for her. I was at the Vancouver concert and she was tearing up while talking about her father. :(

  • Why she not sings more at the major houses.....

  • This Lady does not copy any one.
