    the force of wrapping around the ...(i don't know the word.) is placing the string on it.

    the zitherbauer in Austria, Germany are doing it like that.

    The string wrapped like that is more flexible and doesn't brake so often. :D

    Just try. :)

    If the string tail is not seated under the coil, what force stops the tail from pulling through when the post is rotated???

  • :) no need to put the end of the string downwards. Just simply cut it 3-5mm from the hole. And make sure the string is 3 or better 4 times wrapped around.
