Battlefield 2 nVidia Grassbug

since the release of BF2 there has been a driver bug that appears only on nvidia cards. it has been solved in some recent driver versions but it came back again and again. currently (91.47) it only shows up when AA is enabled. if you look at grass from a certain angle the texture will be drawn incorrectly and the framerate will drop severely. please nvidia, fix it for good!

[update] with a 8800GTS and the latest whql drivers (163.71) the problem is still there. (yes, also on a fresh installation of windows)

[edit] Thanks to Ruupie1982 i finally have a fix:

"1. go into bf2 menu and disable AntiAliasing - save and exit

2. delete the battlefield cache files (in your \Documents and Settings[username]\My

Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache\ directory)

3. start bf2 - play a map without AntiAliasing (for recaching without AA)

4. disconnect and set AntiAliasing back

5. restart game

Works great!!"

this video was made with a 7800GTX running FW91.47.

but with a 8800GTS and 163.71WHQL drivers the problem still exists...
