  • @MonteHoopla started will the things he taught me,with his old Plum hammer and his dolley. LIVE ON OLDMAN!!!!

  • @MonteHoopla There was this "LEGEND IN HIS OWN MIND" not to mention any names but the era of Willie Borsh,Charlie Kazowa,Gary Agdory,John Tedder,Al Bergller,Connie,Rossenberg and a few other that I got to meet as a kid hanging around my Big Brother was an honor and the era of MEN WITH BIG BRASS BALLS THAT CLANG WHEN THEY WALK has moved on in history, my brother and his Shoot from the Hip straight forward gruff talk will be missed but not forgotten, when I get time I will finish the '37

  • @MonteHoopla And Linco center section,2disc Crowergluide clucth.,splined shaft with Greek coupler to tie it all together. When NRHA took nitro away from the altereds,he put Funny car body {NITRO ALLEY} on to try and get sponsors. It was a trip growing up having the Swamp RAT,Mr. Motech, GAP &Rouch,Connie and a few other around at his old shop on Hollywood,in an era that men like Bob could build there own cars, drive and had a shot at winning before computers and multi million dollars were needed.

  • @MonteHoopla Hey Monte..appreciate the kind words for my brother. If you came through the front door with a 12 pak of Miller light ,he would definitely talk your ear off, he loved to BS and liked helping other learning drag racers.Bob built all of his own chaisis, might have stolen a few ideas from here or there.original WIDE TRACKER had a Big Bock Rat with turbo 400,than bought Bob Farmers {Bob's Drag Chutes} Hemi from the dragster he raced at English Town, built new chassis withLinco 3 speed

  • @MonteHoopla nn

  • Make no mistake Bob Sweatt was a true craftsman! He was always willing to help sort stuff out on my race cars.... He would look at some state of the art chassis I had ...take a puff of his cigar scratch his head and turn to Wally Knoch..... the guys sure havent learned much aftewr all these years have they Wally?.....lol....He is truly missed for sure!!!!

  • This car also had a funny car body on it at one time. This car is a Gilmore Chassis. It originally has a direct drive rear. The chassis is almost a duplicate of Walts Puffer Funny car/ Altered.

    Need any more history?

  • Hey Dad, your still giving'em something to talk about...Tina Bug misses you :)

  • @29XB38a Ahh hell I hadn't heard that Bob had passed I just told grandma too that totally sucks. Yeah they are prob both up there building now heaven just officially had to build a dragstrip

  • @taz5603 Sad to say Bob Sweatt passed away on 10/21/10. we didn't get a chance to finish the C cab or start the model A classic.Me & my big brother got to go from little HOT Rod meets all summer so this Beach Boy song is perfect,to me it will always be an endless Summer.I'm sure Roddy and Bob are building something
