What's with the bowtie? Are people that wear bowties demanding not to get taken seriously?

The instumental in the opening is "Emotions" by Love off their first album "Love" written by Arthur Lee and John Echols released in 1966, very cool song.

I've only seen bit parts by accident "randomly" on TV, like 20 mins to end. Finally it came on when i was not expecting it years later. Waiting to be dazzled I got disillusioned 20-30mins in, cause the plot was TOO sketchy and random, so i gave up. Is it worth watching all the way? Or is it just pants of a film with a cool title. Can someone please clarify!

This is one of the greatest films of the decade. It's not a linear narrative, but the effect of watching tv in that violent year. Stick with it and enjoy the scenes.

This is my favourite film and, annoyingly not available on DVD in Britain. All I have is a scrappy video. I saw it two or three times in 1970 and caught it whenever it appeared in some small, out of the way cinema. Vastly underrated.
