Hey steve, i just started working out and im planning on working out 4-5 times a week. I bought Whey, how much should i use and when?
-
@ConcreteRiver Nope, actually I have read and watched documentaries of our evolution. Can you send link to support that is not of vegetarian site. Meat is healthy but in much smaller quantities that people consume it today, but I do agree that todays way of "cultivation" of animals/(meat) is not that healthy as that of animals that are living in nature or some domestic farms.

I think we shouldn't take things to the EXTREME. If you want to eat this or that fine. As long as it works for you and keeps you healthy. Gimme a big ass knife I'll kill something and I'll eat those yummy fruits and vegetables I find on the way and plant a garden! :D

@biglf LOL here we go. Another Taubsian lackey. If you want an excuse for your destructive dietary habits, fine. But don't use the S word to justify it. I never thought I would live to hear people advocating for the consumption of sat fat and cholesterol for health. That is just fucking insane. For the record, I agree, Transfat is also horrible. Which is why a low fat wholefood plant based diet is the optimal diet for human beings.

@HunterSlayer1984 scientific FACT shows our ancestors were predominately PLANT eaters friend. Unequivocally. But I'm glad you give credence to the ethical question as that is what is most important. And for the record, animal flesh wreaks havoc on the human body. That is also fact. I urge you to read before you post, friend.

@ConcreteRiver Our ancestors got bigger brains after they started to consume meat thats a scientific fact! It is wrong to lead on vegetarian way of life telling people meat is bad, but ethical questions are something else.
-
@ConcreteRiver No they did not eat an all plant diet. I'm sure you knew what they wished 4 millions years ago. Our brains do use carbs to function but we also require cholesterol and saturated fat for healthy cell function. And no saturated fat does not cause heart disease its trans fats that cause that. Trans Fat= human made fats from corn, etc.

No thanks, I like my meat. I also like my veggies. I'd rather eat both.

@mookamoka3 Sorry pal. Anthropologists have tested remains of our first ancestors, over 4 million years old, and determined they ate an all plant diet. Early human beings did not wish to kill other animals nor did they need to as plant foods were abundant. Our brains burn exclusively glucose(sugar) which is found in carbohydrates(not meat). Our brains are as big as they are because we've been eating plants for a long ass time. Now bellies are expanding more and more with meat and dairy. Go vegan
Hi Steve great vids common sense always speaks to me. I am a vegetarian and need protein. I was told for every pound a person weighs they need to take in the equivalent in grams. I am 180lbs so I need to take in 180 grams of protein for example if training of course.
The thing is I can not drink so many shakes a day and in reality I only cover the the daily requirement which 65grams. any advice?
IrishCaucasian 4 months ago
@IrishCaucasian You don't need that much protein. Your diet plus one shake a day is enough!
BodyPerformanceTV 4 months ago
@IrishCaucasian 1. Do not eat raw eggs. 2. A normal diet offers more than enough protein.

Steve, I have to agree with you on your assesment of protein. I have a very high metabolism and at one point I was only 150 lbs at 6'1. I was a string bean. Ive been lifting for a year and a half now and now weigh approx 170 lbs. Never have I taken protein or a weight gainer. I just eat a normal amount of red meat / chicken / fish.

@ConspiracyDebunked EXACTLY. Nice job. Most guys think they're lifting hard (and consistently) and eating consistently but they're not.
