White-tailed deer thrive in suburban green spaces and city parks, and many people enjoy these graceful animals.
But urban deer can cause problems.
As their numbers increase, they can damage trees, shrubs and gardens, and cause automobile accidents.
Wolves, bears, cougars and native Americans used to keep deer populations in check.
Without predators, deer reproduce until they exhaust available food and starve--or are devastated by disease.
Today, hunting regulates deer numbers in rural areas.
But in urban areas hunting is not always an option.
Other methods to control urban deer have drawbacks. They either don't work well or are very expensive.
Most people like having deer in their neighborhoods. But you CAN have too much of a good thing.

This is the reason why I hunt. To control the deer population as best I can. And to get out in nature.

I have been hired by several subdivisions to take deer. We have gotten about 5.
