Presented is the Mighty Saturn V rocket created with simple household items. Its carried by 3 Estes class E engines and hit a height around 1000 ft. Amazingly without a recovery system, the rocket returned down with minimal damage.

  • where did u buy this :O ?

  • I didn't buy this, I made it out of household stuff

  • I have to say in perfect fairness, the use of a fuse such as that is a bit dubious to me. But then, I have had more success using a parallel configuration for the electric igniter's which worked perfectly for me. Fuses always seem to cause an uneven burn pattern. Have you experienced similar results?

  • Actually no. I've been wrapping my own fuses since I was a kid and have excellent results.

  • Thats something else. I always found the burn pattern to be annoying at the least. But then again I use a hollow core rocket type for greater burn area.

By the way, will you be following the Ares 1-X launch in about 4 hours?

  • Yep, watching and waiting for the weather to get better down there. Crossing fingers

  • That is 500-600ft tops, not 1,000ft. I have one myself that only goes 922ft on a G80 motor. At least that is what the altimeter says.

  • wow very sweet dude but u should put how u made it is aweesome ;)

  • u should have made a chute deploy with an apogee detector so you could recreate this wonderous moment..... lol

  • wheres the chute?

  • kick ass

  • I WANTED TO SEE IT CRASH

  • @Ulsoro you can buy it at your local hobby store, i got mine at Hobby Wholesale if you live in canada, if not then just look around for it at other hobby stores

  • thanks you for choosing the best song for ANY rocket based video. No wonder stanley kubrick chose it for 2001: A Space Odyssey!

    great vid

  • awesome!

  • that was really cool. you should make the technical drawings of everything to build it and sell it.
