Thank you.

@TapeFuzz You don't need to have a microphone to record. You just need to have the line-input from your Guitar loud enough for it to pick it up, and use the line-inputs on the back. This will work, although using the microphone as the input would work better.

@ForgetfulCollector Hi I just found one of these at the thrift store today but when i tried to recored my guitar playing nothing was recorded when I rewound to listen to it. I don't know if its because I wasn't using a microphone. Do you need a mic to recored audio? Please help anwnser my question. Thank you.

I haven't yet found any that are the correct size. I bought a few back when I got it, but they were too big.

You could probably replace them with "O-rings" from a hardware store.

The tyres around the take-up and feed reel tables have all dried up. I'll replace them once I get parts.

I have the exact same one as you, but i cant get the record button to work. tried pushing it down at the same time as the play button, with and without pause on. Still doesn't work. Does it need to be plugged in?

@hpwebcamable If the record button cannot be depressed, check to make sure the top of the cassette hasn't got it's record-protect tabs removed. If the cassette you're using has holes in the top, then you'll have to cover them with tape before you can record. If there are no holes, there could be a problem with the mechanics of the deck. The same is true if the button goes down but springs back up. In the case that the record button presses down, and the unit doesn't record, A circuit is at fault
