During SXSW 2008, Synthesis.net met up with up and coming Baltimore-via-New York-via-Sydney spazzy punk/electro group The Death Set and caught some amazing footage...including a foot to the camera lens, ouch! All worth it to get up close and personal with this frenetic duo (that is, duo plus however many drummers they can rope into the group at the time. In this case, two). Singer Johnny Siera gets into DIY and reps his friends hard.

  • death set live is the fucking shit and every single damn band should play on the ground....death set live rocks, especially in baltimore

  • I was purchasing some finely sliced italian sausage t'other day, and it occured to me; "Whats with this whole 'audience staring at the stage business? Arent we there for the music itself and not the spectacle?" Its detractive i suppose, and generates an idolatry of the creators and not the created; slotting into the whole western cult of the personality thing, perpetuating the self promoting ideology, which is what the dancefloor functions as the opposite of; its communal revelry, right?

  • haha both!
