  • U got to assume that anyone who can throw a round kick, knows something about fighting, right?

Unless the kicker has no strenght at all and has no arms, this bad technique won´t work.

There are some details missing for this technique to work, like @wazdanui and @Kazuyaabi said. Other option is to evade and then come in ...

  • the kicker should have his hands up so he can rush in and punch the attacker and then go for the KO.

  • Sorry guys, but I expected something more - not only theory... Like "wazdanui" wrote - with full power of kicking this block can't work.

  • @Kazuyaabi , the most force of a kick is at the last end of the leg and foot. (like you swing with a baseballbat)

If you perform a 45 degree step inside ,thats great but you can better block at the knee, so the kick loses all its power, and so you are closer to the opponent to react with a punch or other technique. all respects (sorry for my bad englisch)

  • @wazdanui if you perform a 45 degree step to "INSIDE" with a momentary punch or elbow, a leg inside kick would be useless... This hand movement "paak sao" is a precaution and a impulsive movement. This is Kung fu, excelence lies in it's slight details, impulsive movements and control on body.

  • mach das mal bei nem taiboxer xD

  • @FRONTLiNeFiST I soooooo agree with you.... Evading is the best and then coming in...

  • @wazdanui This depends on how hard you kick. Be wary of estimations.

  • Most insight full display of practical approach. I like it may have done them in variations but its always the battle for wich is Truely the correct way hmmm I love martial arts and I just wana say for those who are seeking good Martial arts skill do what you do and full fill your Hearts dream of doing what you do best and thats Surviving and Adapting! Dont give up those who are in training If you have a arguement with you Sifu then this might be the day you find Humanity at its best!

  • @FRONTLiNeFiST at my karate school we a actually practise blocking technique's like this as a last resort aswell but we condition our arms / hands for it too
