These drawings are part of a series of 99 images. I did 'em using Colors on the Nintendo DS for a collaborative exhibition with my friend Greg. Colors has a great feature in that it records all your brushstrokes through the whole piece and that's what you're seeing here.
Check all 99 hot rods and Greg's naked gals at 99ds.net
The music? Me and Brian did that.

  • COlours, the hombrew right? THat was good fun :)

I never knew the DS screen was pressure sensitive until i saw that app.

  • Thanks dude. Yeah, the pressure sensitivity isn't very widely known, I think Nintendo downplay it cos it kinda farts out after a while. I'm on my third DS now because of the sensitivity getting blotchy and I need to replace my current one too. Colors should be getting a cut of the hardware sales!

  • These drawings inspired me to get my own DS and Colors. Your music ROCKS too! Thanks for sharing.

  • Cheers bro! I hope more people get into Colors. It's really changed the way I draw stuff, I have my DS on me all the time now so I can bust out shabby scribbles wherever and whenever. I never even play games on it anymore!

  • Very nice work. I'm not familiar with the DS paint...it looks pretty good albeit resolution limited. Where did the soundtrack come from?

  • Thanks a lot!

The soundtrack is just me and my friend goofing around. There's a link in the info to the Colors website if you wanted to know more about the software.
