NizCast - Ep1 - Hotkeys

NizCast will be a series of videos helping players of all skill levels improve. The first 2-3 episodes will be fairly basic but later episodes will get far more in-depth. Episode 1 covers the basic Hotkeys of HoN.

Old Shop Command (Control F8 to open Console):
cg_usenewshop2 false
Use the prefix "SetSave" without the quotations followed by a space to make HoN remember the command every time you start-up.

@kozaczyna116 In the video I mention that you can use the tilde key ( ` ) as well. I leave it up to personal preference. For me and for a lot of players coming from DotA, using control groups was the only way to efficiently control the courier + shopping. I also prefer to use the control group method as I prefer to double tap to quickly jump to my hero. You can also do this using the F1 key. Once again personal preference. For me this is the best setup. For you it may be different. Experiment.

Is there any way to use the command for the old shop without the new shop appearing under it now? I can't get the old shop to show up alone anymore. thanks in advance!

Thank you very much for this. I just started playing and noone on chat ever answers my questions lol. I come from LoL and I couldn't figure out how to do a lot of things like ping. Some guy was like, do the tutorial over and over...but it is vague as hell and useless mostly. I wish the items had the 1-6 hotkeys though. But I guess it makes sense since this game takes a more rts approach.

one thing i'd like to mention is if the corrier is hotkeyed as 2, you can press 2 and then b. You do not need to be looking at the shop to buy things and bring them to you with the corrier.

The order is (2, B, buy the items, deliver, and go back to base). pressing b or esc again can when be used to close the shop menu, and this can all be done while still looking at the battlefield.

@iTwuzLuK when entered the game press CTRL + F8 (console of the game) and write : cg_usenewshop2 false/fake i dk which one of those 2 xD but it haz to work
