We used to eat Shake and Bake all the time too. We would either eat the chicken one or the pork chop one. I loved it but when they came out with that barbecue kind, that kind was awful.We haven't bought Shake and bake in years, because My father can't eat things high in sodium and it's full of sodium.

I like the BBQ one, but I agree that they need to lower the sodium content in it. I'm sure if they reduced it by 50%, it would taste great. I'm guessing your father has a history of kidney problems, which my family has too, and which is why we don't have that stuff too often & drink a lot of water when we do.

Actually it's baked/broiled. I'm not sure you can fry with Shake & Bake. You probably could (since my mother fries breaded veal/chicken like the one in the commercial, but she never used Shake & Bake to fry), but then that would be false advertising.

Mine still makes it every now & then. My grandmother used to make it when we went to see my grandparents, but now we usually see them at my aunt's.
