  • Hi guys, I found this video reading a Review on Pat Missin's website, apparently this is a "Tombo Contrabass" harmonica...

I Quote Pat Missin here; "Paul Oscher can play some stunning blues on his Tombo Contrabass"

  • Throat mic gives it the sound. My friend met him and talked to him about it.

  • Love it!

  • that's not a regular Bass harmonica, I don't believe. It's been the subject of quite a bit of discussion - but the best explanation so far is that it's a type of tremolo Bass he got many years ago. It sounds like a Tuba. I've never seen (or heard) another like it (at least the way Paul plays it here).

  • Saw him Sunday- killer! killer and original harp and guitar playing and funky and soulful as hell, plus told some great stories about living in Muddy Waters basement when he was in Muddy's band in the 60's, if you get a chance, go see him!

  • THE MAD SCIENTIST!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing Oscher with a whole lotta soul...

  • It's a Bass harmonica

  • This is great! What kind of harmonica is that? I've never seen or heard anything like it!
