Honoring Street Fighter 4, I bring you a series of
epic battles from past Capcom titles and other games
influenced by Street Fighter.
This is "Dragon Ball Z: Hyper Dimension" (1996, Bandai),
one of the last fighting games released for the
Super Famicom (Japanese SNES). After the release
of "Street Fighter 2", a fighting-based anime
such as DBZ had a great example of what to
model their games upon. While there have
been a few DBZ titles made available for the Famicom
(the cartridges were playable in American SNES
through adapter), "Hyper Dimension" was arguably
the best. The most powerful from the DBZ
universe including Kid Buu, Cell, Frieza, Vegetto,
and SSJ3 Gotenks are playable, and the game
delivered gameplay faithful to the
giant-energy ball-throwing world of DBZ.

  • they need to remake this game for Xbox and PSN fix up some of its issues, like the sky stages being so slow, and other things. I had so much fun with this game.

  • Yeah, I think the 3D Budokai titles are decent, but there was a certain charm about the 2D DBZ games.
