Here is what Candidate Obama wanted for our country when he was running for President of the United States of America. He said that "we are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America."
What he meant was what he said in the video, or was it? Or maybe he meant that he wanted to uproot our Republic and make it into something of his liking, something that would allow the "redistribution" of wealth like he promised during the election. Maybe he wants a country where those who produce supplement those who do not produce.
Obama said on February 16, 2008; "Don't tell me that words don't matter." Are we to believe him? Do words really matter? Is "fundamentally transforming America" what he was talking about in this speech? Or is it something else that he wants to do to our country. Only you can decide that. You be the judge. Your judgment will be counted on Election Day 2012.

He was a community agitator for a few years, so maybe that was his calling.

You're welcome. It took me a long time to find it, but I did. I wanted the full version up, as I don't like to malign people with little clips of video. I think the video speaks for itself. People can make up their own mind. Throughout the campaign I head him say it many times, and I always wondered just exactly what he meant.

Oh, he's not dumb...he knows exactly what he's doing. And what he's doing is flushing America down the toilet. We didn't need "change", but now we do...

If what we have now is fundamental transformation, it SUCKS!
We might not have been perfect, but we weren't in this bad of shape.

You wrote: that Obama voters get the checks.
Consider
all of the elderly who collect social security and are covered by medicare,
all of the Persian War veterans who have suffered physical and emotional harm and are receiving assistance from the VA,
all of the workers who lost their job and are receiving unemployment checks,
all of the corporate executives whose jobs were saved by govt bailouts,
If all of these people voted for Obama, he would have won in a landslide.

Pretty smug. And quite wrong.
Those states which are most reliably Republican--Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, etc--take more (non-disaster) assistance from the US government, while those states that are most reliably Democrat--New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, etc--pay more to the federal government than they ever get back.
