I would have made the place I bought it give me a new one. That is the worst volume drop with ANY pedal I've EVER heard. It sucks you had to pay more just to have it work right. I'm about to get a DL-4 and I can't wait to have this guru give it new life....and a new color, LEDs and a double preset mod haha.

Holy shit!!! I know my has a volume drop, but it isn't that bad. How much do you charge to fix this?

Hey, thanks for this

That's so weird. I have a DL4 that doesn't drop volume at all. It's a much earlier unit though, circa 2001.

Awesome! I am stoked that my pedal was noted as "one of the worst"!!!! I knew something was up with that. can't wait to get it back!!

I own a line 6 Dl4 that i got off ebay and i like the pedal, it has no problem with volume drop, my problem with it is actually a volume increase and muddiness of tone. It seems like most of the delays on my pedal make my volume louder and tone a bit muddier, is this normal for the DL4 pedals?? I am running this through a Mesa Boogie Mark IV amp.

@arthurk9 You may be interested in the 'Trim Pot' mod that I recently started offering for the DL4, it will give you a trim pot to allow you to control the level.

Are you adjusting the Mix knob for any of these? I find it hard to believe that there is THAT much volume drop.

No adjusting the mix knob on that unit - it was the worst one that I've heard, but often times, the ones that have volume issues aren't always the same amount of drop - some are worse than others - this is the worst one that I've seen.
