when it was my parents 25th anniversary ( 28 years ago) my sister wrote to Deanna in the hope she could send them something as a surprise - she sent a polariod photo of herself with a lovely message signed with love from her ( in her own her own handwriting) ...my mother was overwhelmed!

Like you - songs like this remind me of my mum who also could sing, and we'd watch the old movies together. Listening to them I often feel teary too, but it's something I love to listen to, so I do anyway.

my mom was a big deanna fan plus she could sing ( i only appreciated this when it was far too late !) i have a very deep feeling /memory of her singing this song - i rarely listen to it as i always end up crying - my husband ( who was my moms age) played her up by saying they use to call her dinah dustbin - she gave him 'the look ' ( be very careful how far you push this sonny!)
