How to Remove Quick Defragmenter by Britec

Quick Defragmenter is a fake computer defragmenter and optimization program that hijacks your computer and does not allow you to run any executables. Quick Defragmenter pretends to be a computer error repair and optimization program that scans your hard drives and memory for problems. When installed Quick Defragmenter will be configured to start automatically when you login to Windows. Once started, it will display numerous error messages when you attempt to launch programs or delete files. It will then prompt you to scan your computer with the program, which will state that there are a variety of errors that it cannot fix until you purchase the program. If you attempt to use the so-called defragment tool it will state that it needs to run in Safe Mode and will then show a fake Safe Mode background. As this program is a scam do not be scared into purchasing the program when you see its alerts.

  • Thanks again for the video Brian. It´s always good to know diferent ways to try and address this issues on computers. One question though, I´ve noticed you sometimes use 7 and sometimes use XP on the virtual machines you´re testing the stuff out. Any particular reason for using both on diferent ocasions?

    Thansk again.

  • Can you show a video on how to remove the MP3 toolbar from firefox and IE...

  • I heard a car engine around 13:26-29. Anyways even though, I'm not a victim of this fake defragmenter, I've learned about the nice tools you were using. Now I feel I can use them to remove malware if I encounter some which I often do on other machines. I've seen stuff that disabled the Task Manager so I was unable to kill the processes that I think are rogue. Thanks man and belated merry Christmas and a happy malware free New Years too.

  • @SatyamSadaye02 Turn up the volume then ¬¬
