@illriginalized You've got plenty of concious artists. I'm from the UK and can name at least 20 good US concious artists off the top of my head, you're not looking hard enough.

@SystemzKnightmare I agree. I find it amazing how quickly people become ashamed of music once the media says it's out of fashion... Then the cycle repeats itself. It takes some serious brainwashing tricks to create that psychological state in people. I wish people were aware of how powerful and manipulative the media is when taking it just at face value.
In the words of Lowkey - "A listener's tear is worth more than a Mil..[lion] in my hand" - I wish more musicians had this approach to music.

@tis2nwod You hit it on the head. We have conscious artists in the US, but you gotta search for it. The problem lies in the brainwashing of the people. We've been trained that blood diamonds and money equal success. So naturally the mainstream music will try to drive that home.
