My personal choice for this Academy Awards: Best Picture, Director, Actor in A leading role, and actress in a suporting role for THE ARTIST. Best Actress in a leading role for Viola Davis for THE HELP. Best Actor in a supporting role for Christopher Plummer for BEGINNERS

Best Actress is going to be an interesting category to watch this year. It's obvious Viola Davis and Meryl Streep are going in this year, but then you have Michelle WIlliams, Charlize Theron, Tilda Swinton, Glenn Close, and Rooney Mara sitting right behind. I'd like to see Michelle and Glenn in there personally, but as for that fifth spot, I'm not sure. But Meryl deserves to win this year after she got robbed (yet again) by Sandra Bullock the last time she was nominated.

I think it will be Fassbender, Pitt, Clooney, DeJardin, and DiCaprio (I would be pleasantly surprised if Clooney's not there)...Swinton, Rooney Mara, Michelle Williams, Streep, Close.....Kingsley, Mortgensen, Brooks, Plummer, Pitt (Tree of Life)....Octavia Spencer, Redgrave, Carey Mulligan, Jessica Chastian (Tree of Life), Shalene Woodley

Best Supporting Actress: Octavia Spencer
Best Supporting Actor: Christopher Plummer
Best Actress: Meryl Streep
Best Actor: Brad Pitt
However my favorites are:
Best Supporting Actress: Jessica Chastain, The Tree of Life
Best Supporting Actor: Brad Pitt
Best Actress: Glen Close
Best Actor: Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio will win the Oscar! because Dujardin doesn't want it, Pitt doesn't need it, Gosling is way too young to get it and Clooney don't deserve it (he already won for Syriana). :D

@iltenorecubano lol, no. Leo isn't winning for that tripe J. Edgar. Clooney won the BFCA + GG, so it'll probably be him, with Pitt as a possibility. If Clooney wins the SAG, though, he's got the Oscar in the bag
