Speckled Trout

2 pounds of speckled trout (cut into 1- to 1-1/2 inch steaks)

5 lemons

Lemon pepper seasoning

Using a steam pot, bring water to a rolling boil and add 4 sliced lemons to the water. Cut remaining lemon in half and squeeze it over trout steaks. Place the trout steaks in steamer and cook for 10 minutes. Once the trout is cooked, sprinkle with lemon pepper and serve with a side of steamed vegetables.
Steamed Vegetables

1 broccoli head

1 cauliflower head

2 carrots

1 yellow squash

1 small zucchini

Cut vegetables into small pieces and add to steamer. Let cook for 10 to 15 minutes, until soft.

  • I like it. But skipped the cauliflower.

  • I actually really like what you've done with it. I just got done grilling mine with a little big of lemon juice, black pepper and a smidge of garlic, then I tossed it in with my salad and called it good.

    i like to infuse my fish with herbs like green onion and dill, green peppers and salt and pepper olive oil and butter yummmmm :P
