Larry Harvey answers the question, "...how much of a feeling of Burning Man and Black Rock City does [Burning Life] have to you?"

Larry Harvey and Philip Rosedale discuss Burning Man as a global community, Regionals, including the South African Regional, and more.

M2 Danger Ranger on Burning Life as the Official virtual world Burning Man Regional, discusses how the Burning Man Regionals got started (and what they are.)

The interviewer is reporter Daniel Terdiman, who has conducted many live interviews in Second Life. He wrote a book about Second Life and was the editor of a book about Burning Man. He's also been attending Burning Man for many years.

  • It's easy to landmark any location in Second Life, with a link that even works for those new to SL, (with direct SLurls). At Burning Life, this was used widely on blogs and web sites, a great way to promote builds.

  • C tre super!!!!!!

  • Burning Life rocks!! its wild, whacky and wonderful......Go see it in 2011~~you wont regret it

  • are these comments real?

  • Why do I here an echo only on the interviewer?

  • LOL, toward the beginning there's someone way in the background doing something like the funky chicken.

  • I am a DJ in Second Life & played 2sets at Burning Life. I found the experience wonderful for me personally. It was nice to reach new people with my on air set. The thing that I didn't like was that the main stage, Center Camp was on a PG sim. This means censorship of music lyrics, on air speech, etc. At Burning Man there would be no censorship! If we are going to follow in their great path in SL,let's not be hypocritical about it.

  • I have a serious concern with Burning Life. A central theme is freedom of speech, which organizers suppressed by not allowing landmarks(LM) in the art displays. Our build was about freedom of speech, as was last year's build, now a memorial in SL. We were not allowed to post an LM (SL version of a hyperlink.) Organizers expected artists to host events around their builds to promote Burning Life. Yet, how hypocritical and contrary of them not to allow builders to promote their own work.

  • TY katt, alas my speakers must be playing up, sound is a bit garbled.

  • Real life is where its at!
