@GoddessAntares But they do - although the key point is that this is not the end. There's a story about an old Jewish Rabbi who had 2 pieces of paper in each pocket. One piece said that 'You are a sinner that doesn't deserve to be saved' the other piece read 'you are the most important piece of this word'. The point being that God is able to say both things to everyone: including neo-Nazi 'Christian' killers, although they have to face ultimate judgement.

Someone doesn't need to be beaten down and told what a piece of crap sinner they are (because god apparently makes garbage), to be humble and have humility. It is so MEAN to ruin someone's spirit and psyche like that.

@99minerkc Scientific Method? Which is merely to disprove? The Bible says that whatever is preached is to be tested - prophecies in particular. If you read 1 Colossians, 1 Timothy etc you would see methodlogies set up for this. HC was criticised for what he said, in the same way that scientist was criticised by his peers.

@99minerkc Strange how you focus upon Camping & not at all on the clear denouncements by other Christian groups & leaders ove the past 40 years? Unfortunately, Camping probably can't be prosecuted by the authorities (secular or Chrstian) for what he has done. But, evil men (&women) get everywhere, even in positions in the church - we are back to the "who has killed more people: Stalin or the Catholic Church" argument.

I don't believe camping will ever be held accountable. Did you hear the latest? A mother slit her two children's throats(she was arrested before she could kill herself)because of Camping? Google it as it must be national news by now. As I say before, RELIGION IS NOT HELD ACCOUNTABLE for the evil.

@99minerkc No, he didn't. The Disciples & Apostles assumed he would return in their lifetime. Read Matthew 24. Indeed, Jesus was very careful to warn them even Pentecost would come when they didn't expect it.

@99minerkc I agree that this man should be held accountable. That ultimately will take place when Jesus does return (whenever that is!). However, as with the Catholic paedophiles, there is some judgement now - eventually. However, the world is littered with tyrants & crminals (secular or religious). You could argue why did the US allow commited Nazi scientists to work for them to put a man on the moon.

Continued: Campings changes were that he claimed that he received a communication from god that the world will end still on 10/21/11. When that fails(which you know it will), then what? What church authorities will man up and demand Camping give back the millions he took from gullible christians? I tell ya who, NOBODY will do anything to hold the man accountable other than to say he's going to hell. ROFL like that's will ever happen. :)

Who is holding Camping accountable within the church? Any john doe who wants to say Camping is wrong? What's if he was right, people left behind would be praising Camping for being so insightful, so godly. There IS NO type of religious accountability which is one of the many reasons religion FAILS. The scientist you mentioned DID/DOES have a method of accountability, the scientific method. The man as you say was called into question by other experts and changes made. What changes did HC make?

" Funny how jesus told his closest followers that the end would come before they died. So, jesus made a prediction himself, YET, it was a FAIL. So the supposed divine son of god SCREWED UP. I know you'll justify that scripture as christians always do. It's called moving the goal posts which is exactly what Camping just did in his latest interview. SIGH
