This is the real footage of the twelve limited edition RabbitHole 3D Motion Holograms by ten renowned entertainment industry artists that RabbitHoles Media launched for the Grand Opening of Gnomon Gallery in Hollywood; the RabbitHoles 3D prints were displayed at SIGGRAPH and remain on display at Gnomon Gallery. The pieces are printed in the amazing form of RabbitHoles state-of-the-art digital motion holograms, which display 1280 frames of full-color, 3D imagery with up to ten seconds of fluid and seamless animation on a completely flat surface. The video also includes interviews with the people pioneering the use of RabbitHoles as a new print medium for art, including artists Alex Alvarez, Fred Bastide, Pascal Blanche, Kris Costa, Jeremy Engleman, Meats Meier, Laurent Pierlot, Aaron Sims, Scott Spencer, and Timur "Taron" Baysal.

  • We would love to pitch this to our clients but it is just too cost prohibitive; a set of 3 images would cost a minimum of 7K without adding printing, framing and lighting costs. Clients give us the "are you out of your frigging mind" look. Hopefully it will become more affordable with time and competition.

  • Well, now it's more affordable than it was 5 years ago. custom made holograms were never cheap.

And you can definitely get much better deal if you send us some project details. Please use info@ email and refer youtube :) comments.

  • It's somewhat interesting, but on the bottom line it's just more self-absorbed bullshit.

  • Some kinda play on prisms?

  • Moon phases would be a natural.

  • Creation of stars from a nebula? - A nebula itself?

  • Might also be a good medium for evolution studies.

  • It would be interesting to see a face that appeared young straight on and old from the sides... including the incremental changes. - Also, the reverse would be interesting too.

  • I too am a 3d artist. I'd love to make a rabbit holes for clients someday.

  • Cheap clients get out-dated products.

  • Wow! Meats Meier....awesome.

All of these were beautiful, ill be looking into getting one after I'm out of school, I love the animated ones.
