In 20 years of fostering, all kids placed with me who were diagnosed with ADHD were 'cured' after a few weeks of a good diet, deficient in junk food. There is scientific evidence that diet affects behaviour . . . but of course, such evidence is disregarded because it doesn't provide a profit for food and drug corporations!

There may be some genuine cases of disorder, but they are a minority of cases diagnosed as such. It's no coincidence that this is a recent phenomenon.

I believe that we will be able to trace chemical differences in the body, specifically the brain, for ADD and ADHD, but I doubt that it is at the percentage of patients that are being diagnosed. Basically, if you want some pills to help aid you in your studies, claim and display these symptoms in your examination and you will get these drugs. That is what I have experienced.

I suspect that ADHD is a myth. But is the medication such as Ritalin a must to treat something that is probably a myth. Today often kids that we see have a bad diet are subjugated to violent games, TV destroyed families or parents busy with work. My wife works as an dentist in Norway, most of her patients are problematic kids. (She is good with them and likes them) She thinks that the so called ADHD problems are created by society. Show the the parent and I'll tell you how the kid is....

@RocketmanRockyMatrix Yep, I had a friend who was kicked out for that reason. He was 21 and was on meds when he was 14. He was planning on a career in the military, but he was kicked out...But yet there are currentl;y 19K soldiers with aids in the military who are non deployable, but thats ok.

I've tried all the diets, fiber and minimal sugar diets, all natural food. Maybe they're making a profit, what mostly everyone tries to do with their lives, but the medication works for me, it helps me concentrate in school, helps me put the excess energy into really listening to and processing lectures at school, and helping contribute to them. With ADHD meds I can live a normal life, don't try to take that away from me, i've been accused of lying, and those people are goons.
