I'm glad you had such a succulent traditional Christmas-eve dinner. (No sushi!) And merry Christmas day as well, though I realize by now it's about over in Poland.

@barbcard You are right, at first I was sure my Christmas supper will have been spent by me all alone, only with my Japanese meals and books and suddenly, a couple of friends called they have arranged a meeting which I happily accepted. All I could do with that pile of sushi delivered on Saturday morning to my apartment was calling Adam and begging him to take all that away for his gang of always hungry "no neck monsters" which is inhabiting all corners of his home :-))

@dzheger My dear D, how nice it was for me to find your Christmas message in my answering machine, when I returned home from the Christmas Eve supper I spent it with a couple of friends. We had everything duly arranged: carp a la Polish, a la Jewish and a la Greek (do you know all these recipes?) the borsch with mushroom dumplings, popyseed noodles etc.etc. Our local cooking virtuose made her culinary presentation worthy of comparison with Paganini's concerto. Thank you!
