I saw them on May 4, 1984 at University of Waterloo. The Clash had split up and this was Joe Strummer and the New Clash. Paul Simonon and Pete Howard from the original. Vince White and Nick (not Mick) Shepherd were recruited by Joe. Vince White's guitar that night was amazing. He fell off the stage and was caught by the fans and pushed back up and he never missed a note! The journalist is J.D. Roberts, known today as a CNN Anchorman John Roberts.
