@amandaraejacobs21 Actually no one in my family is greek at all. so I was not a legacy. Even when we have girls that come through rush that are legacies we don't always take them. Where your mother/grandmother/aunt/sister fit in might not be where you fit in the best and you need to be comfortable wherever you end up. But it is cool when several women from one family end up in the same sorority! :)

What sorts of things are taken into consideration when being picked for a sorority?

Personality, accademics, extra curriculars.. ?

@CiaraSeattle So many things are taken into consideration. When you sign up for rush you have to fill out a fairly long application about what you were involved in in high school as well as your GPA. This is really important to the different sororities because they want girls that are very well-rounded. During rush they also get an idea of what your personality is like and if you would fit in with the rest of the sisters.

@alyssamuch soooo many universities/colleges offer greek life. Best thing to do is whatever college/university you are considering see if you can search "greek life" or something of that nature on their website. Also, if you are interested in a particular sorority then go to their national website and see where their chapters are located. best thing I ever did was join my sorority...wonderful opportunities and experiences =) best of luck!
