  • Isn't this just what we all know Taylor Hicks would and probably has done himself?

I love your spirit, soul, heart filled with compassion, Tay...you make the world a better place for everyone . . . You are not so loved without reason...pkm

  • This song should be out there....what a story, what a voice, what a man!

  • Taylor has a real gift for song interpretation.

  • I always felt this song was awfully tough to sing but he does it so effortlessly, he's 'jes plain freakin' amazing.

  • I think I like this live version even more so, than the album version. It's more lilting.

  • So nice to listen to Taylor on a video with people in the audience also just listening. Nicely done.

  • @malachiwv

What you said about Taylor Hicks is so very true!

  • This is an amazing song...you all should check out the original by Foy Vance. Taylor does a nice job with it, but let's give the writer some love

  • Saw the CD at Target that has this song as a bonus. On sale yesterday for $6.99. Sale won't last. I'd grab one if I was you. I already have mine.

  • thanks so much for posting this..

  • "But those rare souls whose spirit gets magically into the hearts of men, leave behind them something more real and warmly personal than bodily presence, an ineffable and eternal thing. It is everlasting life touching us as something more than a vague, recondite concept. The sound of a great name dies like an echo; the splendor of fame fades into nothing; but the grace of a fine spirit pervades the places through which it has passed" - Thurber

THs spirit shines in this haunting performance.
