@seonidh.... its not a scottish tune....its an irish reel......and its not called the glasgow reel, its called TAM LINN....

@seonidh .....the guy who wrote it was Davey Arthur, an irish musician in a folk band called the The Fureys and Davey Arthur..the legend and the reel are not related but davey lived in edinburgh,scotland for a number of years whilst growing up...thus the connection. the reel is called Tam Linn..

@MaidinRealta yes the vharacter Tam Lynn was a hero in a scottish shapeshifter story/legend as the balad of Tam lynn. I dont think the reel and the song are related though but the Irish guy who wrote the song in the 1980s did give it a scottish flavour with a name like the Glasgow reel or Tam Lynn. Maybe he likes scotland?
