Capitalism allowed people and communities to go under. They sure as hell weren't "bailed out". you need to be a financial criminal in order for that to happen.

And now they are going after the very people they threw on the scrap heap. Trying to criminalize those who now have to claim welfare in order to survive. I mean - just how sick and depraved are these capitalists prepared to go?

There's a big change coming. People ARE more important than money.

Black people gave up a lot of their lives at GM and Packard et al. What is so sad about detroit is that it was one of the few places in the U.S that had worker equality. But shareholders and inept management have no principles.

The people of Detroit deserved better than unemployment enforced upon them in order to sate the greedy and corrupt.

I believe history will look back and show what happened to the hard working people of Detroit was a social crime that created huge misery & hopelessness.

It's hilarious to hear "Gen Zeroes" not know doodly about 20th century American history. Packard collapsed due ot inept management, much like GM did of late. The '55 and '56 models, though improved, were too little, too late to save a company which had been mismanaged since after WWII. Studebaker took over, and just abandoned the whole Detroit plant, knowing the social ills that were coming. Videography: ½ out of 5.
