Whitecaps will win the MLS title very soon, just like they did in the NASL

I was at that game and went onto the field afterward. It was a very tense overtime game on a perfect summer night. An unbelievable summer of 75 and soccer in the city.

Thank you for posting this. As a NASL historian I heard about this famous celebration and now it is wonderful to finally see this very unique moment.

I heard that the Timbers fielded a complete team of British players from division 1

who were loaned to the Timbers. The following season the NASL limited to only 5 players who can be loaned to one team. I heard that the fans of Portland were completely in love with this team and for good reason. In 1975 Portland was a awesome NASL city,

Yeah dude i just don't understand why "soccer specific" stadium (like the badass, all-new, yet still low-capacity one in Kansas City) built recently for MLS teams translates to "less than 30,000 seats. Why didn't Portland build one more like the Seattle stadium? I know it's the Seahawks stadium and they share, but still with fan support like what you have in Portland i'm sure you could fill at LEAST 30-40,000 every game don't you think?
