Dark Age of Light - Episode 01 - Part A

In a world of steel and energy, where all natural life has given way to the progress of a new synthetic existence, only a select few know of the true motivations behind the massive technology evolution.

Colonel Stern is a mysterious half human warrior that conducts his covert business outside of the prying eyes of the global security forces. We travel with Colonel Stern as he embarks on the second phase of his mysterious project: to prepare the different elements he needs for his ultimate objective.

Yes I realised that later, sorry. But I'd still say that at the very start of the episode, the somewhat cartoonish qualities and the talking monster confused me as to whom this work is aimed at, a teenage audience or an adult one?

By the way your commissioned work is absolutely stunning!

If you check the film's website you'll see I later updated her outfit with a plaid pattern, so yes, I take your point.

Glad you enjoyed watching it anyhow. I'm uploading my first new film in quite a while in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned!

I do like cute sea-monsters in harsh militaristic dystopias though. What's wrong with that ; )

Thanks for your comment. I enjoyed reading your criticisms very much. I agree with you re the appearance of the 'bare assed' shot. Actually the character is supposed to be wearing white leggings & I had lit the landing bay scene with orange lights, but it was not until people started watching the film that I realized it was being interpreted as showing her with a nude behind.

While your immense effort in making this is to be credited, your efforts seem to go in the wrong directions - It seems there is a dark motive to the main character, and the art style is reflective of a harsh militaristic dystopia yet there is a talking sea monster which looks quite cute and a bare-assed women which struck me as very demeaning.

Other than these gripes, excellent work!
