@BLAYDZ99 - Actually, sedan has to do with interior space. Regardless of doors, anything less than 33 cubic feet of space is considered a coupe, while cars with over 33 cubic feet of space are considered sedans. Hence, you can have a 2 door sedan, or a 4-door coupe.

Strangely, the characters in this movie knew that the car was a 1974 model year, but were never able to figure out the actual make or model. The car is 1974 Dodge Charger

Actually, IT IS a '74 Dodge Charger, not a Super Bee. The grille/bumper has been cut at the center divider by nearly 3" and then the upper horizontal section has been pulled down so the shorter center could be welded together. Also the hood has been bent down to 'kind of' meet the bumper. The SuperBee bumper is split and both upper and lower horizontals are slanted towards one another in the center. The front is still 'square' to the hood lines.
