Story
As long as anyone can remember, the coming of The Undertaker has meant the coming of death. Until one day the grim promise fails and tension builds as the God fearing townsfolk of Backwater wait for someone to die

What's the Undertaker's profit on this? Nobody stayed alive to pay him for his service.

@stepanpapez Think of the Undertaker as being Death - in the sense that evenever he stops by somebody dies. In that way, the towns people fighting and killing each other just gave him numerous new souls. Putting them all in nice boxes could just be his way of cleaning up ;)

i just thought of something.... Gospel means "good news" right?... so the good news is the undertaker has come?! O_o

@usedforstufff: Actually, i think Gospel means something along the lines of 'the absolute truth' and not 'good news'. But no, I wouldn't say it's good news that the Undertaker is coming considering what it does to the little town ^_^

@ninjakitty21 Yeah, at first that was my thought about the scene where the father is aiming his gun at the undertaker. What did that? Could the undertaker have been shot? Was the father truly corrupt? Was it Bubba who himself decided to lay the blame? I think it isn't so much religion and authority, but mankind itself that caused the end. But it's a short film, very open...

@ACislove I believe this is about fear of what's different eventually doing you in at the end. And there's probably something about blindly following authority/religion/etc and blaming that what is different for the things that happen in the world. Had everyone not freaked out and listened to the preacher claiming that the undertaker was there because of the guitar man, none of these events would have happened at all.

Ten minutes of my life well spent watching this little number. Major thumbs up for all those involved in its making and a thankyou for doing something original with animation instead of the same bog standard bright coloured, big eyed nonsense im so used to seeing.
