This song was written at the end of the 2007 season after the Mets had completed their emabarrassing fall from the top of the NL east. We were sad that the Braves weren't able to get in the playoffs but it was worth it to see the Mets choke in an "historically colossal" way. We decided not to post it then, but have since changed our minds since the arrival of the Kuff and the Buttheads (the group that wishes they were us). Plus, its the perfect time to post it after yesterday's doubleheader sweep over the rival New York Mets!

I wouldn't really classify either the Braves or the Mets as having choked. They both underwent several injuries to key players and wore out at the end, with wins being scattered too far apart. The 1964 Philles, though...THAT was a real choke. They were 6.5 games up with just 12 to go, and the bottom completely fell out--they lost ten straight games.
