Yo La Tengo performed on Friday night, July 17, 2009 as part of the Pitchfork Music Festival's "Write the Night" where the ticket holders were able to write in and vote for the set list that the band would play. I am ashamed to not know too much Yo La Tengo. The only album that I have is "I'm Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass", which I do love and know very well. This is the first track off of that album, so I was really happy to hear them play it.

When I saw Yo La Tengo last was at the Pitchfork Music Festival in 2007, where they famously played all new material, all off of this album. So this is the 2nd time that I have seen them perform this track. I didn't capture the entire song, I think I missed the first minute, but I did (as you can see) catch all of Ira Kaplan's guitar antics. Great performance of this track.
