  • I live in Scotland i would love to learn more of this language any good reference points on the net.

  • Hi. Thou i am not a Kiwi, I belive LilONe040 or kiwibro03 (their link you can find on this Comments page) might be able to help you out. Hope they reply to you soon :)

  • haka only with one k ;)

  • Ok, thanks with the spelling check

  • That is far and away one of the best things I have ever seen on YouTube. It shows the internet as a medium to educate and not just gross out

  • First, I would like to thank you for a wonderful comment. Actually, come to think of it, clips uploaded can be educational, depending on what we are searching for. For fun i typed in "Math", and poof.... Math educational clips appeared. I tried "Solar System" and again positive. So, let us all continue to contribute educational clips for the benefit of all :)

  • Im a true blue Kiwi! And im proud of it! Wouldn't wana be anything else. I love my country, and all nationality's that are in it.. GO THE MIGHTY ALL BLACKS! BLEH! (Insert Maori war face here)

  • @vback same i live in aberdeen

  • Geez - keep going. Bit sad that the explanation was so quick. But it was really cool to hear you talk about he Haka and give some background to the whole thing. Thanks :)

  • Kewl... ^_^ Love the all blacks...

  • I dont think it should offend them, I had to learn the dance in 4th grade.

  • i want an all blacks jersey but im scared i will get beat up by all the black kids if i wear it to school

  • Maori is very easy to learn. For instance, the pronunciation is very consistant throughout the language. The Maori alphabet is made up of:

    A, E, G, H, I, K, M, N, O, P, R, T, U, W.

Knowing the vowl pronunciations are important because every word is pronounced in single syllabels, most of which contain vowels. For instance,

    'Tumatauenga' is pronounced:

    Tu-ma-tau-e-nga.

I don't know of any good references but I could give you some more info if you want.

  • TO ALL NEW ZEALANDERS:::::hey is it ok if i can learn the haka?....im not NZer, but i hav full respect for them (thats why im asking)

  • Good explanation but whats with the addidas logo...also it wasnt a War haka..And it shouldnt be done like one imho

  • Ae same bro expect I am a white Maori (well half though) and it gud to be a NZer =)
