@azombiestool If you like v30s, by all means go for them, but i think i speak for most people when i say the best speaker for this style amp is a g12m type, also some like g12h30, and some like mixing both of those. If you can afford it get a vintage cab, if not scumbacks are the second best thing, tell jim what kind of tone you want and he will hook you up.

Rad tone, man! Two questions: What cab are you using and what tubes?

Hey there!
I just bought a Super Lead MKII.. what are the best speakers to pair it up with? V30's? G12H's? G12M's? and what kind of cab? Id love replies from anyone willing to reply. I watched some speaker comparisons... at first I was in love with the G12H's greenbacks.. then the V30's took me away.

you need to play stuff with less single notes and chords and combine them . play a rush song or something. like finding my way :D

@odgeUK I wonder how much that guy would sell that amp for?

i want this amp!!

I heard that Ultimate attenuators didn't affect tone at all or reall barely audible, is that true ?
Have you tried the Marshall 1987x? Any opinions on that?

@odgeUK I heard one recently that I thought sounded great. Also check out Metro/Metropolous amps and some of the other Marshall clones.

what songs are you playing in this video?

@uncleslash777 Just chords and riffs I usually string together to accentuate the attributes of these old heads. "A" chords are the best. ;-)

@Plexi335 awesome stuff man! sounds great, does that hotplate affect the tone at all?
uncleslash777 9 months ago
@uncleslash777 There is loss of high-end frequencies as attenuation increases - I just turn up the treble and presence to compensate and it works out fine.
