Notice these confused Baptist convention big wigs are deceived as well pointed out by the ex-Calvinist since Baptists are 2 point Calvinist (Total depravity, limited atonement) and 3 point Arminian (resistible grace, conditional election, preservation of the saints) which are inherently contradictory. All 5 points of Calvinism are false and all 5 points of Arminian are true.

God predestinates by foreknowing our free-choice: a conditional election, unlimited atonement, resistible grace, for preservation of the saints (OSAS).

Praise the Lord! Amen.

  • The point is this, the atonement is sufficient for salvation of all men, but it is only efficient for the elect. Calvin never said that people perish because God never loves them.

  • @23want This is the point you miss. The reason the atonement is efficient for the elect is because they freely accepted the cross of salvation whereas Calvinists do not, for they admit they refuse to repent and believe in Christ to be regenerated. They will go to Hell according to the word of God. What love is it to claim God made people for Hell never giving them any opportunity for salvation? Calvin will be resurrected for Hell.

  • @23want Atonement that is sufficient for all men requires all men therefore to have the opportunity for salvation, otherwise it would be insufficient. In Calvinism grace is not sufficient for all men because the god of Calvinism irresistibly imposes regeneration, thus never giving anyone any opportunity for salvation for it to be sufficient. The evil god of Calvin has people perish because he never loved them just as Calvin taught. There is no love in sending people to Hell irresistibly.

  • @Parture You have so much hatred for calvanism. Where is your scripture references?? Why do you keep making accusations about God yet provide no evidence for what you believe. Eph. 2:4-5 He chose us before the world's foundation. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ. He draws us to Christ and gives us the gift of grace and faith (Eph. 2:8-9). That in turn causes us to repent and trust in Christ for salvation. Please provide scripture for your statements.

  • @Skoomie Of course I hate the evil of calvinism. How could I not? God hates evil. Should we love evil? There is no evidence for your belief God irresistibly imposes regeneration so your assumption places you into a false salvation under Satan's dominion for you admit you refuse to repent and believe in Christ to be regenerated, therefore you are going to Hell. Pretty simple. God never gave you the gift of repentance and faith because you refuse to search Him out with all your heart.

  • I used to attend a Reformed Baptist church too. Anyway, the Bible clearly says that Jesus died for the sins of everyone who ever lived (2 Peter 2:1 ; 1 John 2:2,etc)

  • Thankyou for this.....I have been "worrying" about Calvinism for some time. This says it all. God Bless you.

  • @pfowler1976 God designed it so that you do have a choice. You're not a robot. Your god is too small, and evil, because he can't do what God can do make you a sovereign being with free will. You accuse God of only being able to hold His hands out, but that misrepresents Him, for He provides us all with sufficient grace. He is personal and relational so He enjoys our choice afforded to us and wants to be with those who search Him out to whom He gives the gift of repentance and faith to.

  • @Parture so your saying man is sovereign in his own salvation, and God has no say, your God is too small. I would laugh at your God and all he could do is hold his hands out and say I love you, come to me. What a crazy idea.

  • @Skoomie The world is the whole world not a section of it. Whosoever doesn't mean all persons but those persons who believe out of the whole world. God would not be a realistic or just God making us in His image if dying for the sins of all men must irresisitbly make them all saved, for in that case there is no free choice and we would just be robots. Your god can't do what God can do dying on the cross for the sins of everyone so anyone can appropriate His saving grace.

  • @Parture I understand you think He died for the whole world. But you are actually misquoting John 3:16, which says He died for the world, not the whole world. Also, in John 3:16 the word "whosoever" in greek is 'Pas', which is a collective, meaning some of all types, not every person. Also, I am sorry, since God is a just judge, if Christ paid for the sins of ALL men and ALL men where not saved, then God is a corrupt God. If you're going to make claims as such, where is your scripture reference?

  • @rctjc Your mistaken understanding is in assuming that dying for all sin automatically converts you. Rather atonement provides the opportunity for salvation; it doesn't force you into it. Hell is needed because free will is not truly free if you don't have the free choice to eternally separate yourself from your Creator. Calvinsim is a Satanic cult, one of Satan's greatest deceptions, because a person doesn't repent to the cross as a helpless sinner by assuming he is irresistibly selected
