Dystopia #2: The second of my "Dystopia" short film trilogy, as well as my final directing workshop project at UT (RTF 366D). "Knife, Fork, Spoon" tells the story of a man who has lost his spoon in a society in which the government gives every child one knife, one fork, and one spoon to last their entire lifetime -- they are allowed no more, no less.
There are no second chances.
The idea of being given a knife, a fork and a spoon to keep for a lifetime, and only once, is a remarkably inventive idea, but I think it's more of an idea for the SETTING of a film, not one for the actual plot. Still, the idea sustained its four minutes very well, and the ending made me chuckle.

@BlackMagnumFilms Thanks. I agree with your critique when it comes to feature films, but not so much when it comes to short films. Regardless, a good insight, and I've actually kept that in mind as I've been writing a feature length version of this idea.
